CPD Open More New Branches

CPD Distribution plc, the UK’s leading specialist distributor of commercial interior products has grown again by acquiring Leicester Ceiling Systems (LCS), a ceilings and drywall business, and relocating two established branches to much larger premises. The acquisition of Leicester Ceiling Systems is ideally matched with CPD’s core business and provides added strength to the branch network in the busy and vibrant East Midlands region. LCS will operate under its current trading name and continue to be run by Paul Ellis and Paul Cowlishaw. All existing staff have been retained, ensuring customers experience a smooth integration into the CPD business. Behind the scenes LCS customers will benefit from the introduction of CPD’s huge portfolio of products, including Speedline Drywall and Access Flooring plus Tenon Partitions and Washrooms.

Meanwhile, CPD’s Warrington branch has relocated a few miles along the M62 to a new 27,000 sq ft warehouse at Knowsley. The new facility has been renamed CPD Liverpool and offers a rapid delivery and collection service for the whole of Merseyside, Lancashire, North Wales and Cumbria. This has been quickly followed by CPD Glasgow’s relocation to purpose built, state-of-the-art distribution premises, close to the previous site. The new facility boasts over 35,000 sq ft of warehouse space, offering the widest selection commercial interior products in the area.

The Liverpool and Glasgow branches now have a greatly expanded stock profile of standard and specialist drywall systems, raised access floors, acoustic insulation materials and an increased choice of ceiling products. Both sites also benefit from CPD’s programme of introducing new and extensive shop-style trade counters, offering everything from power tools and lasers to drywall handling equipment.
