CPD Distribution plc’s growth strategy is moving at a pace reinforcing its position as the UK’s largest specialist commercial interiors distributor, thanks to the acquisition of an established business, a branch relocation to larger premises and a new, additional facility. The changes bring the number of branches to 29.

The latest acquisition is Ceiling System Supplies Ltd (CSS), based in Slough. CSS has a long history and an excellent reputation for the supply of ceiling systems in the South East and will considerably strengthen CPD’s service in the Thames Valley area.  All existing staff have been retained, ensuring it is ‘business as normal’ for customers.

Meanwhile, CPD Leeds’ customers are now enjoying the benefits of the branch’s relocation to larger premises, boasting 25,000 sq ft of warehouse space. The branch now has a greatly expanded stock profile of standard and specialist drywall systems, raised access floors, acoustic insulation materials and increased choice of ceiling products. This is complemented by the introduction of a new shop style trade counter, offering a wide selection of essential extras, including hand & power tools, fixings, lasers and a wide range of ancillaries.

And if that wasn’t enough, CPD is also to open a brand new facility in the North West this autumn. Conveniently located at Knowsley, just off the M57 and A580, CPD Liverpool’s new 27,000 sq ft warehouse will offer a rapid delivery and collection service for the whole of Merseyside, Lancashire, North Wales and Cumbria. Liverpool will also benefit from a well stocked shop style trade counter, in addition to extensive stocks of ceilings, drywall, insulation, partitions and access flooring.

These changes serve to underline CPD Distribution’s commitment to expansion, with the aim of continually improving the level of service and range of products for all of its customers.
