Speedline, the popular brand of drywall products from CPD Distribution plc, has introduced a new drywall system that combines the benefits of standard and specialist boards in a single, easy to specify, install and finish package that is suitable for all types of application.

Called Speedline High Impact Acoustic Wall System, the product is a unique partnership of Speedline high quality metal stud and track with USG Fiberock® Clima-Tough panels. The result is a single, high performance solution that considerably simplifies the task of specifying and installing drywall systems for demanding education, healthcare, retail, commercial, hospitality and leisure developments.

This unique combination delivers an extensive list of technical features as standard that would normally require the careful selection of multiple specialist boards. Firstly, Speedline High Impact Acoustic Wall System offers outstanding levels of impact and abuse resistance that makes it highly effective in high traffic, public areas. As standard, the system also provides superior acoustic performance of up to 58 RwdB. Water and mould resistance are also inherent properties, as is fire resistance, with up to 2 hours protection.

Once installed, finishing could not be simpler. The system has tapered boards for fast, conventional tape and joint finishing. The smooth surface finish is also ready to decorate, accepting paint and most wall coverings without special preparation. The Speedline system is also an excellent tilebacker, making it ideal for showers and washrooms. Finally, the system has superior in-built strength, offering excellent screw and nail holding ability that simplifies and improves final fix of heavy materials, such as hand basins or cupboards.
